“Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on “New York values”, like we’re no good”.
Trump lost Wisconsin to Texas U.S. Sen. “They know the state and they can help”, said Mark Stephenson, a Republican strategist who ran analytics and delegate strategy for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign.
“Working the delegate issue is a campaign issue and we are working that really hard, we have people devoted to it full time”, Sam Clovis said yesterday on Boston Herald Radio.
“The Kasich people don’t have much of a ground game I’m aware of, and the Trump campaign has no ground game, so they’re working on prayers and hopes and wishes, and they really aren’t involved in the process”, Wilbur continued.
“I support Trump. I’m gonna vote for Trump”, Giuliani said.
“He’s right. He has to win”, Manafort said. The more interesting question is what statement the GOP makes by picking the particular candidate Cruz over the particular candidate Trump. She said the MRP has been in daily communication with the campaigns regarding this. He noted he didn’t find out about Trump’s now-canceled Friday speech in Ranch Palos Verdes until a CNN reporter called to tell him about it.
Cruz met for more than an hour in a backroom with black and Latino pastors, and said afterward that his win Tuesday night signified that Republicans will ” come together and unite”.
But as the convention approaches it’s not clear that any candidate will hit the magic number of 1,237 – the number of delegates needed to lock down the nomination – before the national convention begins. You’re hopelessly confused by the delegate math in the presidential race? Combined with savvy delegate recruitment and a mounting string of endorsements, Cruz is setting himself up as the most likely nominee in a contested convention. Trump is holding the lead among likely Republican voters in two regions: the nine-county San Francisco Bay area and Southern California outside of Los Angeles County. The delegate count so far: Trump, 743; Cruz, 517; John Kasich, 143.

Because North Dakota didn’t hold a primary, its delegates are free to support the candidate of their choice, regardless of who wins the popular vote. That doesn’t mean he will have the actual affection of the the delegates casting those votes. With Wisconsin now behind her, she is looking to her strength in NY where she was a U.S. senator before becoming the U.S. Secretary of State during President Barack Obama’s first term.
