The network also estimates that the total social activity over the first three days grew from 1 million to 2.3 million.

When only four million people tuned in last Tuesday for the debut of the highly-anticipated new show “Scream Queens“, there was cause for concern.
Jonas plays gay frat brother Boone in Ryan Murphy’s latest screen incarnation, Scream Queens.
“If it continues to perform this way throughout a measurable period of time – where our advertisers are more inclined now to look at this type of performance, and we’ve got many sponsor partners on this show – this show is beyond viable”, she told the outlet, adding that “Scream Queens” is a show that “any network would be happy to have, any streaming service would be happy to have”. However, when the Live+3 numbers started to come out over the weekend for Tuesday night’s shows, “Scream Queens” seemed to have risen from the dead, at least as far as the trade press was concerned. (Another 2 million watched the Thursday encore telecast).
Limitless and Scream Queens tied for the biggest absolute 18-49 gain, 1.0 rating, rising to a 2.9 and a 2.7, respectively.
Fox’s “Empire“, which delivered an impressive 16.2 million viewers in its premiere last Wednesday, saw its audience jump nearly 40% to 22.5 million viewers when Hulu, video-on-demand, DVRs and Fox Now are included. By virtue of all this padding, the total audience for “Scream Queens” got fluffed up to a bit north of 7 million viewers.
“Scream Queens is a model for contemporary viewership”, Fox Television Group chairmen and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman said in a statement.

Note: The L+3 numbers only represent a snapshot of delayed viewing. Among the shows they highlighted for drawing additional viewership were “The Muppets” (ABC), “Limitless” (CBS), “Blindspot” (NBC) and a bunch of others. That puts it at a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49.
