And why is Grace’s dad, Wes a “very special someone”? She is really upset that Zayday is still missing and her Dad sympathizes. If Gigi was referring to Wes, however, something tells me Dean Munsch will attempt to save him. Chanel #3 wears her ear muffs in a bathtub, which seems impractical. Dean Munsch is down on herself because the sex wasn’t great and now she’s getting judged by her friends who think she’s “immoral”. Hester asks No. 5 why she’s punishing sugar-loving kids when she should be directing her anger at the source (Chanel)?

Wes, Gigi, Denise, Grace and Pete hover over a map of town to try to plan a door to door search for Zayday.
– Who is Gigi’s kill order meant for? Regardless, they take her help and head out to find Zayday.
Kappa House. Chanel bursts in on Chanel No. 3 dressed in an identical Jackie O costume, and they have it out (yet again). Chanel #1 is onto Chanel #5 and demands that she get her act together or get murdered. Namely the dozens of jack-o-lanterns.
If Chanel Oberlin wants a replica of the maze from The Shining, you bet she will get it for the Black Hairy Tongue Pumpkin Patch. She chooses Roger which upsets the other brother. Pumpkin Patch, like Haunted House before it, puts emphasis on the mystery and cuts down on the bloodshed with mixed results.
At the pumpkin patch, Chanel #5 is thankfully not alone. The sisters of Kappa Kappa Tau were planning to dress like the wives of fallen Presidents. He was left to fend for himself in the maze and lost his life. Luckily Grace happens to remember Zayday’s password to Find My Device, an app similar to Find My iPhone that can pin point its exact location. The Red Devil slaughters one of the brothers, leaving him in the fake Shining snow. “We know there are multiple Red Devils”, he says. This works, and they immediately find the address. Denise, the leader, gives everyone Tasers, compasses, and decoder rings. Gigi and Denise find another room that has an operating table and a myriad of slaughtering tools.
The Red Devil is seen holding a puppy. But, surprise! Zayday isn’t down there. Denise tases Gigi in her boob and then Gigi tases the Red Devil. Grace and Pete walks in on them doing it: “We were…we were high fiving”. Any one, or all of them, could be the Red Devil.
Chanel has grown increasingly concerned that her presidency will be stolen from Zayday. The vote will obviously go in her favor, but Chanel #1 doesn’t care. Except, Zayday wasn’t having it and she stabbed the Red Devil in the hand and escaped. They recruit her to throw the sorority election, and Jennifer agrees because they show her how wasteful Chanel is with her candles.
In the final scene of the episode, the Red Devil is stalking Gigi from behind, before we realize it was all set up.
She told Teen Vogue magazine: “Apparently only four people will go on to season two”. She’s also officially dating Wes, and may or may not have called out a hit on him.
As each episode passes, there seem to be more one-liners than deaths. And he hasn’t murdered his landlady, which leads me to believe the Red Devil might have a heart.
Ryan Murphy Halloween episodes are tricky. There’s not almost enough screaming for a show with scream in the title.
Meanwhile, we get our first glimpse of kidnapped Zayday who’s at the bottom of a chamber inside the Red Devil’s lair. The series said farewell to at least one throwaway character, narrowing down the field of potential kills, while also throwing in several horror tropes and making fun of their sheer ridiculousness. His top suspects: “Nick Jonas and one of the Chanels”.
