Fox made a flurry of announcements Friday during the net’s TCA winter press tour. There’s kind of a amusing connection here between this and another Ryan Murphy show in “American Horror Story”, which had its second season at an asylum, albeit one in a different era than season 1.
The Season 1 finale of the anthology series, which featured Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis, closed out with 2.6 million viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. In Live +7, its rating rises to a 7.3. The show, which has received a bevy of award nominations including Emmy nominations and a Grammy nomination, recently took home a Golden Globe when Taraji P. Henson was honored with the Best Actress in a TV Drama trophy at the 2016 ceremony. It also ranks as the most-tweeted broadcast TV series.
Scream Queens is a production of Ryan Murphy Television, Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision, and 20th Century Fox Television.
EMPIRE stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones and Serayah McNeill. No premiere date for Empire season three was announced.
