Scuffle breaks out at rally as Trump defends backers
“It’s time to stand up and vote for Donald Trump for president and vote for me, David Duke, for the US Senate”. Instead, he said he just doesn’t want Duke’s support. Pence did tell CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that he did not want Duke’s support or “the support of people who think like him”.

Pence was asked Monday in a CNN interview whether he would say Duke is deplorable, an adjective used by Democrat Hillary Clinton to describe half of Trump supporters.
“What Hillary Clinton apparently doesn’t know is the people supporting this campaign are hard-working Americans”, Pence said, adding that millions are “shocked and saddened” by her remarks.
“Did she walk it back?”
BuzzFeed published a story quoting several anonymous Republicans who are terrified by Clinton’s inability to put Trump away, who believe that he is unqualified and would be a catastrophe in the White House, but who nonetheless won’t go on the record with their opposition because they are anxious about hurting their future business and employment prospects. “So what was it – 40%?”
Clinton said his wife has been standing in for him for a long time, and it’s about time that he did the same for her.
“People are vying for the highest office in the land”, the in governor said. She used her Republican National Convention speech to talk about child care issues, though her father has barely mentioned it on the campaign trail. Hours later, her campaign revealed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.
While Ryan and his leadership team emphasized similarities between the desires of the Trump campaign and House Republicans, Senate Republicans heaped much less praise on their nominee and his messenger after their meeting with Pence.
Asked if top Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani had gone too far in questioning Clinton’s health prior to Sunday’s incident, Pence demurred.
“What should these parents tell their children about Hillary Clinton’s attacks?” We’re praying for a swift recovery.
The problem we have right now-we have a society that sits back and says we don’t have to do anything. “We’ll leave it at that”.
Denouncing him is one thing but name-calling seems to be a bit extreme in Pence’s opinion. Trump has said that he will not share his until a “routine audit” is completed – and Pence said the Republican nominee has every intention of doing so. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., would not say whether the meeting with Pence was focused on policy, however.
When Trump re-emerged, in a pair of early-morning phone interviews with friendly TV stations, he was restrained and reserved, at least on the topic of Clinton’s health.
“We need working mothers to be fairly compensated for their work and have access to affordable quality child care for their work”, Trump said.
Tim Miller, a Republican strategist who helped run an anti-Trump super PAC during the primaries, said that Trump had shown “surprising restraint, to be honest” in responding to Clinton’s health episode.
Yes, Trump is getting a lot of support from professional racists on the white supremacist and alt-right, and reducing his base of support to any single constituency is a fool’s errand. Corker said senators had “constructive suggestions” for the Trump-Pence ticket, including to “articulate fully as to what they envision the country to be” and what issues the nation is facing. “It’s not what the American people are talking about”. It came out of hiding in opposition to the first African American president, and it has been welcomed into the open by Trump.
House Republican Conference Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers said Pence received an “enthusiastic response” from members of the House GOP caucus when discussing Trump.

“Look, when Donald Trump and I said that the small and bullying president of Russian Federation was a stronger leader on the world stage than this president and Secretary Clinton, that was not an endorsement of Vladimir Putin”, Pence said. “But what you have in Donald Trump is someone who will take the world as it comes”.
