SDCC 2016: The first trailer for DC’s “Justice League” is here!

Zach Synder helms the movie, along with Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as Flash and Ray Fisher as Cyborg to round off the team. This might be a strong indication that we won’t see much from Superman in this movie.

The trailer hinted at a distinctly military flavor to Jordan Vogt-Roberts’s take on Kong, offering a split-second first look at the giant ape after two minutes of helicopters and explosions.

Wonder Woman herself, Gadot, chimed in, “It was important to portray this character in a way that everyone can related to”.

Warner Bros. also offered fans a new look at their upcoming “Wonder Woman” film, debuting the first official trailer at Comic-Con on Saturday afternoon. And while Suicide Squad is tracking to do big numbers, the real test will come with how folks react to Wonder Woman and more importantly, Justice League. The costumes for Cyborg and the Flash aren’t looking great. But regardless I think the teaser did the job it was supposed to do. Otherwise, I have just one small gripe. But, more of his, that sort of Bruce Wayne, wry, ironic gallows humor comes out.

The best bit of the footage features Barry Allen, who is charming, funny, and awkward. There is no way he wouldn’t know the name of the man who runs one of the largest tech-related companies in the world. Wayne is actually doing the in-person recruitment, as Bruce Wayne, not Batman. He maintains a very public persona as part of his Batman cover. It’s like someone who is a die-hard Mac user not knowing who Steve Jobs is.

Justice League is the furthest away from opening - it’s more than a year away - so this first look is understandably light on action set-pieces, but there’s more than enough here to grab our attention and pique our interest.

The movie’s cast remained tight-lipped about the plot and their characters, but the trailer shows “magizoologist” Newt Scamander (Redmayne) arrive in NY in 1926 with a case of magical creatures that escape, wreak havoc and face threats from the non-magical humans in the city.
