Laurel Lance’s last words to Oliver will be revealed in “Arrow” Season 5 premiere episode, the showrunners revealed in a recent interview.

The former Team Arrow members, meanwhile, are not faring particularly well. In addition to his new job as trainer, the Green Arrow is now also mayor of Star City, something he’s not doing a very good job at.
Well, we won’t have to wait long as Arrow returns on Wednesday, October 5th. Lance (Paul Blackthorne) was sacked from the Star City Police Department, and afterwards, he chose to leave town with Felicity’s mother, Donna (Charlotte Ross).
We’ll likely hear more of Arrow Season 5 soon, but what other surprises should we expect?
Oliver is not too convinced with the new team and says, “These people are amateurs Felicity!”
Also, Thea, Oliver Queen’s sister, quit Team Arrow to go soul searching, and one of the team’s very first members and closest friend to Oliver, John Diggle (David Ramsey), chose to reenlist. But can Olicity work out their issues and get back together? Viewers will also learn how he joined Bratva.
Basically, someone Oliver accidentally created in the first season when he was a killer in a hood, will return to Season 5 as a villain.
“You’re instinct has always been to go it alone”, she told Oliver while laying in her hospital bed.

Tonight at San Diego Comic-Con, The CW teased a sizzle reel of footage from Season 5, and while it’s always a little risky to get too excited about Arrow, this really does look like the creative refresh this series needed.
