Coleman, a fullback for the Seattle Seahawks, was being held without bail at King County Jail on investigation of vehicular assault and hit and run, the Times reported.
Derrick Coleman, a fullback and special-teams player, has been with the Seahawks since 2012.
After the crash, Coleman, who did not appear to be hurt, got out of his vehicle and walked away.
Coleman was signed by the Seattle Seahawks in December 2012 and scored his first NFL touchdown on Dec. 2, 2013, on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints off of a ricochet ball from Kellen Davis.
A field-sobriety test was performed on Coleman. Coleman was denied bail. Bellevue, Wash. police found Coleman nearby and arrested him without incident, according to the Seattle Times, with a source telling the newspaper there was no indication in the report if Coleman had been intoxicated.
Coleman, who was undrafted out of UCLA, has started two games this season.
