Seahawks’ Germain Ifedi out for several weeks after high-ankle sprain
Offensive lineman Germain Ifedi suffered a high-ankle sprain in practice on Wednesday, a source confirmed to our news partner The Seattle Times. High-ankle sprains are notoriously hard to come back from, and it would not be surprising if he missed a month or more.

It’s widely expected that the Seattle Seahawks will have one of the NFL’s weakest offensive lines this season.
The Seahawks took Ifedi with the No. 31 overall selection in the 2016 National Football League draft out of Texas A&M, and he was expected to be a key part of the offensive line at right guard. Webb started 13 games at guard for the Raiders last season and has Tweeted twice since last night appearing to hint he will be taking over at that spot.

Seattle now needs that project to show very quick results for at least the first few weeks of the season, unless it goes out and signs somebody to fill Ifedi’s role.
