Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch: Intends to retire
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch may be getting closer to announcing his retirement.

This shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise considering that Marshawn Lynch is getting up there in age and the injuries are really starting to catch up with him, missing 9 games past year (including playoffs). After staying home during the Seahawks’ wild-card win at Minnesota, he returned for the divisional round in Carolina but managed only six carries for 20 yards and two receptions for 15 yards.
Should Lynch decide to return, he would represent an $11.5 million cap hit for the Seahawks. 2015 was a rough year for Lynch as he missed most of it due injuries, rushing for only 417 yards and 3 touchdowns.

It’s unclear what Lynch’s future holds, but the talented running back has already started expanding his business brand, as he opened his Beast Mode retail store in Oakland on Friday. According to Schefter, Lynch has even told members of the Seahawks organization that he plans on hanging it up.
