Seahawks QB Wilson could miss Week 2

Another fourth quarter comeback for Russell Wilson.

Add another miracle, and one more movie-time moment, to Wilson’s resume.

That the Seahawks’ offense had its struggles during Sunday’s 12-10 win over Miami is evident in the score alone. So that’s we are going to do here, let’s take a look at the winners and losers from the Miami Dolphins’ opening week loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Russell Wilson joked about his sprained ankle Sunday afternoon, but a report says it is “significant” and could threaten his Week 2 status. Which was an appropriate thought for most everything in the week.

Miami overcame a blocked field goal, a blatant drop that probably would have resulted in a first-quarter touchdown and a failed fourth-down attempt at the Seattle 21-yard line to stay within striking distance in the fourth quarter.

He was injured being sacked by Ndamukong Suh in the third quarter, appearing to get accidentally stepped on and twisting the ankle awkwardly.

Then, out of nowhere, the Dolphins went 86 yards on seven plays.

“It feels a little sore”, Wilson said after the game. “I would encourage everyone to please use the podium they have, stand up for their beliefs, and make America a better place”.

Two plays later, he and Wilson won the game. Rodgers completed 20 of 34 passes for 199 yards, with TD passes to Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams. Wilson limped during the next few plays, but did not come out of the game because of the injury. The Jaguars had converted their previous three fourth-down plays, but Allen Hurns was stopped short after catching a pass on a bubble screen play. It was failing to generate first downs, momentum, or anything beyond two field goals. It proved to be the game-winner with 35 seconds left. “It happens, and I told the guys, ‘I will play of one leg if I have to'”. That looks to be Marsh, who had three special teams tackles along with the field goal block. Hauling in both balls thrown at him, Carroo may have only had 14-yards but he did his job. – Jimmy Garoppolo, starting in place of suspended Tom Brady, passed for 264 yards and a touchdown to lead New England. Running back Lamar Miller had 106 yards rushing in his first game with the Texans.

“Honestly, he’s never changed to that play before”, he said. The Browns allowed 278 to rookie quarterback Carson Wentz and ranked No. 27 in Football Outsiders’ pass defense Defense-adjusted Value Over Average in 2015. The No. 2 pick in this year’s draft was mistake-free and was 22 of 37 with a 101.0 passer rating.

The opening of the National Football League season is now past us.

Wilson floated a low-percentage, fade-route pass on a flawless parabola that only Baldwin was in position to catch, which he did, an inch inside the end zone’s boundary. So Minnesota relied on its defense to win on the road. Tennessee took an early 10-0 lead, with the TD coming on a DeMarco Murray’s 5-yard pass from Marcus Mariota, but the Titans did little offensively afterward.

The performance on the field did leave a bit to be desired especially on offense. The Ravens limited Buffalo to 160 yards and sacked Tyrod Taylor twice. The Dolphins took a 10-6 lead with 4:08 left on a two-yard quarterback draw by Ryan Tannehill.
