Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls activated from PUP list
Per NFL.com, Rawls is viewed as the favorite to emerge as the Seahawks’ lead running back this coming season, an assignment that carries with it fantasy relevance in the post-Marshawn Lynch era that the Seattle franchise is about to embark on. “It was a big day for Alex to get the shot”. We will take our time and just going to get him to feel confidence and get back.

But the back they want to see the most is back on the field. “They work really hard; they’re about winning”.
Rookie running back Alex Collins made the most of his extended exposure with the first-team Seahawks offense Sunday to score a running touchdown and a receiving touchdown to highlight the first game-type scrimmage of training camp. “He’s been working very hard, so I don’t know if we’ll be able to work him as hard in practice as they’ve been rehabbing him”.
Sunday was the first appearance of newly acquired free agent guard Jahri Evans, a multiple-time All-Pro with the Saints for the last decade. He did not see action, though. I had 10 good years and won a lot of games (in New Orleans).
“We’re not going to rush him at all”. “There’s a great group of guys here”, Evans said. “He’s not been told he’s the starter or anything; he’s been brought in to compete, and hopefully he’ll add to the level of play”. Afterward, he explained that he came to Seattle on Thursday and liked what he saw. “They have both worked extremely hard, ” he said. Defensive end Frank Clark (calf) is getting eased back, but did not participate Sunday. “We’ll take our time”, Carroll said.

WHAT IT WAS: Sunday’s scrimmage stands as the annual “mock game” heading into the week of the first preseason game. It seemed that Cassius Marsh, particularly, had a big in that regard. He was a matchup problem for tackles all day. He responded with two touchdowns, one on a long catch and run from Trevone Boykin. Russell Wilson completed 17 of 26 pass attempts with a touchdown throw to Tyler Lockett. On that drive, rookie receiver Montario Hunter caught a deep ball from Wilson up the left sideline. Rawls is now eligible to practice.
