Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, caught off-guard when Marshawn Lynch benched himself for the NFC wild-card game Sunday against the Vikings, isn’t sure what to expect this week as Seattle gets set to take on the 15-1 Panthers in the divisional round.

“I look back on that and say that if I don’t put that ball on the ground, they’re not able to get that field goal and take the lead”, Peterson said.
Every mistake and break was magnified in a game like this, and the Vikings benefited for the majority of the first three quarters.
Carroll explained after the game Sunday that after Friday’s practice, Lynch said he wasn’t ready to return to play after his November 25 hernia surgery.

Carroll said the plan will remain the same with Lynch this week and he’ll be evaluated daily. “The headsets didn’t respond, so we just got stuck a couple times”.
