Seahawks’ Wilson has ankle sprain, should play
One day after Wilson got his ankle stepped on and sprained by Miami’s 305 (plus)-pound Ndamukong Suh, coach Pete Carroll said his quarterback will practice Wednesday and start on Sunday when the Seahawks (1-0) play at the Los Angeles Rams.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill (17) spikes the ball after scoring a touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in the second half of an NFL football game, Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, in Seattle.
After Ndamukong Suh stepped on the ankle of Rusell Wilson, it looked like a very risky situation for the Seahawks, but their QB had no problem finishing the game as he led his team to the victory with a clutch late-game drive to put ‘Hawks up by 2.
With just the undrafted rookie Boykin behind Wilson, the Seahawks will look to add a veteran this week, according to Rapoport. I kept throwing in the caveat the team may figure the issue would be moot again because the indestructible Wilson had never missed a practice let alone a game due to injury.
The Seahawks also had second-year pro Jake Heaps on their training-camp roster but released him during their last round of cuts before the season. Wilson’s mobility was clearly hindered by the injury, showing none of his natural escapability or pocket movement.
What they said: “The offense may be undergoing a philosophical and personality shift, but it matters little as long as that defense stays just the same”. “They’re not injuries but things that have bothered him and stuff”. We have to take into account that it is going to be hard.
“I don’t think this one will be hard to get up for”, Gase said. That’s what happens when you play good teams, it’s going to come down to probably the last drive of the game.
Wilson limped off the field, had the ankle retaped and finished the game.
“In that moment, I’m thinking ‘what is he doing?’ but he has shown the propensity to do miraculous things and that play was no different”.
Richardson returns to Jets • New York Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson returned from his one-game suspension to start the season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy previous year.
After the game, Wilson led a post-game prayer with other players, including some of his Dolphins opponents. “There’s no question in his mind he’s not playing”. Remember how woozy he looked in the NFC championship game two seasons ago after Green Bay’s Clay Matthews clobbered him helmet to helmet in the open field during a Packers return of a Wilson interception? “However, when the plays count, we know how to finish”.

Because of this, it is not yet clear if Jackson is eligible to play for any team if ever he gets signed.
