Guzman is regularly being moved to new cells in different floors and a guard is posted in front of it 24 hours per day to prevent him getting away once more.

Del Castillo, a Mexican-American who played a drug kingpin in a television series, brokered the now-notorious meeting between Guzman and USA actor Sean Penn at an undisclosed jungle clearing in October, three months before the fugitive’s capture.
Mexican officials have already begun the process of extraditing Guzman to the USA, according to ABC 7, and his exact destination here will be determined by U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
The United States has filed two extradition requests with Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, though it is not clear yet where he will be tried.
“They will try to extradite him as fast as possible”, Benitez told AFP.
In the end, the interview Guzman wanted might have cost him his freedom.
Guzman’s lawyer, Juan Pablo Badillo, has vowed to appeal to the Supreme Court if necessary.
“When I first saw it, I was a little horrified”, the Fox Business News anchor told TheWrap Tuesday in a wide-ranging interview ahead of her moderator gig at Thursday night’s GOP debate.
Guzman was captured Friday, just six months after he made a daring escape from a maximum-security prison, where he is now jailed.
The drug lord is now at the Altiplano Prison where he escaped in July.
Guzman has escaped from prison twice before: once in 2001, and again in 2015. It stars Mexican actress Kate del Castilllo, the woman who led Sean Penn to interview Guzman. Ultimately, it proved impossible to do the interview in-person, but Penn sent questions by BBM device and Chapo agreed to record his responses on videotape.
Another picture shows the pair greeting a man before taking a vehicle that took them to an airstrip in the neighboring state of Nayarit, the newspaper said. But as he flew to Mexico for the meeting, he wrote “I see no spying eyes, but I assume they are there”.
Penn published an article in Rolling Stone magazine on Saturday in which he quotes Guzman boasting about his drug shipments and laundering money through major Mexican and foreign companies.

If US authorities ultimately subpoena Penn or want him to testify against Guzman, it would be hard to force the actor to reveal facts beyond the published interview, since he could invoke “journalistic privilege”, which in some cases protects reporters from divulging information about their work, said lawyers with expertise in US media law.

Guzman was recaptured on Friday in a military raid in Los Mochis, a northwestern seaside city in his home state of Sinaloa.
