Harris County Sheriff’s Office issued the alert for 6-year-old Alexis “Lexi” Johnson of Houston.

Johnson is believed to be with Harvey Eugene York Jr., 40.

York is not the child’s father, authorites said.

York was apparently visiting the child’s mother on Sunday when the two got into an argument and he was asked to leave the residence.

On Monday, a member of York’s family reported he and the girl had stopped by a Louisiana home. The mother called the sheriff’s office and York took the girl into the woods, according to Sabine Parish officials. Zwelle is a small town in Sabine Parish, near the Texas border.

The truck listed in an AMBER Alert for a Texas girl has been found in Louisiana. She is approximately 3 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 63 pounds. She has shoulder-length hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. “He’s about 5’7” and weighs 160 pounds. However, Lexi Johnson and her alleged kidnapper haven’t been found.

Police have now issued an Amber Alert and are appealing for anyone to contact them if they have seen the missing pair.

The details are unclear, but the young girl was found sometime Monday evening and Harvey Eugene York Jr., her mother’s ex-boyfriend, was taken into custody.
