Google Drive’s latest update has improved the ability for users to search for their much needed files, regardless of where the files came from and where you are searching for it as well.
Why should I care?: If you use Google Calendar regularly, this update might help you stay organized without needing a to-do app. At the same time, any device that has 3D Touch will offer the possibility of searching the Drive straight from their home screens. “And finding them again from any device should be super easy so we’re rolling out a new search experience to get you better results – even faster”. As such, it is likely that you might not see the modifications yet. With the new update, users would be able to search a file by specifying its type in the search box, among a variety of documents with similar names.
That’s not all Google is throwing in. You can also search by shared files by file owner.
