Search ongoing in Lake Superior for 3 missing boaters
Authorities in the Upper Peninsula are searching for three boaters, including a 9-year-old boy, who didn’t return after fishing in Lake Superior.

Family members called police when they didn’t return for an evening fish fry.
State Police from the Calumet Post say the group’s truck and trailer were still at the marina.

Searching are crews from Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City, Coast Guard Station Portage, Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and an aircrew from the Canadian Coast Guard.
The boy and his father are from Ishpeming. A crew from Air Station Cape Cod, Massachusetts was scheduled to search throughout Sunday night and into Monday morning.
Michigan State Police Calumet Post said a 61-year-old Atlantic Mine man launched a 16 ft craft from Portage Entry in Chassell early Saturday afternoon.
