Search underway for ‘unauthorized person’ who tried to board JetBlue flight to
In 2016, Delta will begin operating Boeing 717 aircraft on all Delta Shuttle flights between Los Angeles and San Francisco, increase to 10 daily flights to both New York-JFK and Seattle and add a third daily flight to Boston. Pedregon said no security breach was found, but police were investigating, although no one was arrested.

Robert Pedregon of the LAX Police Department told NBC Los Angeles that police were alerted to the person’s presence at the Terminal 3, Gate 31B jet bridge.
A bomb squad was inspecting a JetBlue plane in a remote area of Los Angeles global Airport on Thursday morning after an unauthorized person tried to gain access to the aircraft through a passenger boarding bridge, airport officials said.
It didnt seem suspicious until later, when the LAX employee heard from a coworker that none of the pilots were on board the plane yet. Police searched the plane and terminal.
“Once the aircraft is cleared, the flight will continue on” to its original destination at John F. Kennedy worldwide Airport in NY, the JetBlue statement said. All other operations at LAX are operating normally, the statement said.

No passengers were aboard the plane at the time, but “out of an abundance of caution” the aircraft and its luggage were put through another security screening, JetBlue said.
