Seattle Lawyer Gets Sir Mix-A-Lot’s Old Cellphone Number
Jonathan Nichols, an American lawyer, has revealed that he unwittingly acquired Sir Mix-A-Lot’s old mobile number in 2012, and has been receiving a suitably odd array of messages from fans and, ahem, wannabe acquaintances ever since. Nichols told the guy he had the wrong number – but this was just the beginning. Which is why “broke law student” Jonathan Nichols was so surprised when it started happening to him, the Seattle Times reports. As for the women, he told those sending numerous snaps, “You need to stop”. That day, the phone was deluged with birthday wishes for a certain Anthony Ray.

Meanwhile, Nichols has found a legitimate way to make use of the connection.
Sir Mix-A-Lot said he was amused by Nichols’ plight. “That is hilarious. Poor fella”.
Sir Mix-A-Lot also offered advice to Nichols: “Don’t check any text messages in front of your wife”.
Have you ever gotten a new cell phone number, and you start getting texts and calls from people you don’t know?
“The “Baby Got Back” singer also had a request for the new owner of his old number”. That would be the first thing. Nichols did some Googling and discovered that the Seattle rapper Anthony Ray, better known as Sir Mix-A-Lot (of “Baby Got Back”, “Posse on Broadway”, and Rhyme Cartel Records fame), was born August 12. “And usually you end up opening your wallet”.

The law student was sent links to youtube clips and even offered to take luxury-cars out for a spin by dealerships. Mix said when I called him – on his new number – to tell him about Nichols. “When I say I have Sir Mix-A-Lot’s old phone number, it’s kind of a mic drop moment”.
