Seattle’s game-saving play followed by admission of error by National Football League officials
Wright provided another Monday night controversy in the same end zone where the infamous “Fail Mary” took place.

The game was basically over.
However, the Seahawks were not penalized, and instead were awarded the possession and the chance to run the clock out on their victory.
He’s right. Quin is extremely right, but the Lions aren’t doing that.
That sequence could have been flagged, however, as K.J. Wright slapped the ball out of the end zone while it was loose. Unger was a veteran who knew all the calls and had played enough to recognize various defensive looks.
There’s plenty of blame going around today.
National Football League head of officials Dean Blandino acknowledged that the officials blew the call, saying that the back judge felt Wright inadvertently touched the ball.
Ebron’s left-knee injury looked potentially season-ending when he left the field Monday, though ESPN reported an MRI showed no significant damage.
Rivera said he knew the rule from his playing days with the Bears, but the two still went over that rule along with a few other rules near the goal line and out of bounds. John Gruden and Mike Tirico were the announcers for the game. Truth is, they actually have found out their ealier put on record by enjoying mostly below par sports. Either the referee can’t interpret the obvious, or he didn’t know the rule.
“You can’t bat the ball in either direction in the end zone”, Blandino told NFL Network. “K.J”. They’ve forced 18 punts in two games.
That is certainly understandable, and I’m tempted to agree with that logic.
The Lion are 0-4 and already four games behind the Green Bay Packers.
By rule, it is illegal for a player to intentionally bat the ball while in the end zone. I was just trying to make a good play for my team. Caldwell began his news conference by talking a bit about the disputed play, but was unwilling to say much more about it. “At the end of the day, I have to hang on to the ball”, Johnson told reporters after the game. “That is what I did – made a play, or didn’t make a play”.
I think the reason people are so upset is because of the inconsistency.
The play was over, but the call shouldn’t have been a touchback and the ball was given to the Seahawks at the 20-yard-line.
And here is where the policy gets odd for Lions fans in particular.
“I want to catch passes”, White said. On the next play, Wilson hit wide receiver Doug Baldwin over the middle for a 24-yard touchdown to get the Seahawks on the scoreboard. To lose the game on a weird fumble by Calvin Johnson when he was inches away from scoring the go-ahead touchdown was as heart-breaking as any loss possibly could be. The call, however, is not reviewable and could not be reversed on the field.
Who I do feel bad for though are the Detroit fans.

That is the real moral of this story. “The officials have got to be held accountable, just like the players are”.
