Seattle Seahawks: Is the Marshawn Lynch Era Over in Seattle?
Seattle’s secondary was soft on San Francisco’s second-quarter touchdown drive, but that was more because of coaching than anything. It added that through this game plan, receivers from the team will have enough time “to get open on routes against a Seattle”. His efforts were recognized by coach Pete Carroll, who said that he really wanted to have a running back that “is physical and seeks out contact”. “You can’t come away with field goals”. “Points are good, but touchdowns change the game”.

Gabbert threw for 264 yards and a touchdown, but San Francisco couldn’t overcome an early 20-0 deficit or slow down Seattle rookie running back Thomas Rawls in a 29-13 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
Exploiting the loss of NT Glenn Dorsey, Rawls bullied his way through the 49ers defensive line for almost 100 yards rushing in the first half, helping to push his team into scoring range during their first three trips on the field.
The Seattle Seahawks rediscovered part of their identity thanks to a pair of rookies in a 29-13 win over the 49ers on Sunday.
“We prepared for 24”.
Carroll wouldn’t rule out the possibility of a sports hernia or surgery and said the Seahawks would know more by Wednesday.
The club’s starter for the first eight games of 2015, Colin Kaepernick, was placed on the Injured Reserve List on Saturday. Tight end Vance McDonald scored the team’s only TD on a pass from Gabbert right before halftime. Blaine Gabbert helped the Niners beat the Falcons two weeks ago with a few inspired play but the Seahawks shouldn’t have much trouble slowing San Francisco today. They kind of ignored Rawls after the last time he went off before Lynch came back from an injury, and they struggled.
Rawls was unstoppable today, and he weaved his way through the 49ers’ defense with impressive trucks and cuts.
And in case he needed a reminder, it was the best game for Rawls since running for 270 yards previous year at Central MI against Northern IL. But San Francisco still couldn’t slow him. When Bruce Ellington fumbled on a kickoff return, all of Australia demanded he be crucified the way Jarryd Hayne was after his fumbles, never mind that Ellington s fumble went harmlessly out of bounds and the 49ers maintained possession. He was sacked just twice, and completed 11-of-11 when blitzed, only the third time in the last 10 years a player has gone 10-of-10 or better against the blitz in a single game. Both had high flying offenses, solid defenses, and were winning a lot of games.

Only Shaun Alexander (266 yards in a 2001 game) has rushed for more yardage in one outing for the Seahawks. He’s the third running back in the National Football League this season to go over 200 yards, joining Doug Martin (235) and Adrian Peterson (203). The Seahawks totaled 255 rushing yards, the most allowed by the 49ers since 1978, when the NY Giants racked up 256. That’s when Rawls ran 31 yards with a pass from Russell Wilson for the game’s final score. “It’s an abdominal issue, there’s a lot going on there, so we’ve got to see what that all means”. “So we are going to try to take care of him”.
