Seattle Seahawks rally to defeat Miami Dolphins 12-10
The Seattle Seahawks got off to a winning start in 2016, defeating the Miami Dolphins by a score of 12-10. This time with an added degree of difficulty.

Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill had 108 of his 186 passing yards in the fourth quarter and gave the Dolphins their first lead with a 2-yard touchdown run with 4:08 left.
“It feels a little sore but I’ll be alright”, Wilson said, via Curtis Crabtree of PFT.
“I was pretty limited, but I was telling Coach Carroll and some of the trainers, when I’m 43, 44, 45 years old, that’s probably what I’ll look like out there”. “We didn’t want to tax him too much”.
In the third quarter, Wilson was sacked by Ndamukong Suh and suffered an ankle injury.
Seahawks tailback Christian Michael gained 7-yards when he needed one on a fourth-and-1 run from Seattle’s 34 yard line.
Four plays later, Wilson hit Baldwin in the corner of the end zone to give Seattle the lead – and finally exhale after a tougher-than-expected opener.
“There’s definitely a feeling of familiarity”, cornerback Richard Sherman said of Wilson’s performance. (Wilson’s) been there before.
“The guys (on the) inside (of Seattle’s defensive line) were killing (Miami’s) tackle and guard, and I was just able to get through and get the block”, Marsh said.
What is yet to be decided is how well Tannehill and the rest of Miami’s offense will function under new head coach Adam Gase. The Dolphins were stymied by Seattle’s defense for three quarters before putting together an impressive drive to take the lead. The touchdown was good, and the Seahawks sealed the victory when Miami’s offense squandered the two plays it called in the game’s final 26 seconds.
“Our defense did a great job to put us in the position we were in”, Gase said. “I was just more irritated with the fact that we couldn’t help them on the other side of the ball”.
ANKLE DAMAGE: Wilson was hobbled after he was sacked by Suh for a 13-yard loss.
Wilson was examined by the training staff on the sideline but didn’t miss any snaps.
While I do respect the talent presented on the Seahawks defense, the Miami offense consistently missed their opportunities throughout the contest. Stills took advantage of a communication breakdown in the Seattle secondary and was 10 yards past the closest Seahawks defender when Tannehill delivered a near-perfect throw that looked like it would result in a 71-yard touchdown – only to come up empty when Stills dropped the ball at the Seattle 15. Miami converted two third downs before settling for a 27-yard field-goal attempt that ended up getting blocked by Marsh with 10:41 remaining. The four held their hands over their hearts as the anthem played and stood immediately at its conclusion. “That’s what it was about, to continue a conversation about social injustices and systematic racism that still plagues our country”.

Their decision to not stand during the national anthem was the latest in a series of protests undertaken by a number of professional athletes in recent weeks, with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick beginning the demonstration prior to a preseason game last month.
