This time, instead of working together to create long passing gains and score touchdowns for Kansas State, they will team up in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks.

The team released undrafted rookie free agent long snapper Nate Boyer.

The Little Apple Post will monitor this developing story, and update when more information becomes available!

“That was cool”, Boyer said, according to the Seahawks’ official website. “I was actually pretty emotional, just because I always think about my buddies who I fought with, or the ones who are overseas right now”.

Watters was added after backup QB Tarvaris Jackson suffered a high ankle sprain Friday. He was 29 years old and had just come back to the United States after serving with the Green Berets, a Special Forces unit, in Iraq and Afghanistan. His story is inspirational. “I enjoyed it. You never know, this might be the only one I get”. “It was neat.” Boyer also took to twitter after the game to thank Seahawks fans and players for the opportunity.

With the addition of Waters, the Seahawks now have a third healthy quarterback behind Russell Wilson and R.J. Archer. With Seattle boasting an established long snapper in five-year veteran Clint Gresham, Boyer was a longshot to make the squad, but he drew praise from head coach Pete Carroll for his work throughout the offseason and training camp.

Waters missed pro day testing because of shoulder surgery in January, but was likely to go undrafted regardless because he lacks ideal size, at 6’1, 217, and doesn’t have a big arm.
