She called on Mr Buhari to mobilise countries such as the United States, France and Britain in a reinvigorated effort to find the girls.
Amina was brought to the Borno state capital, Maiduguri, with her 4-month-old baby girl named Safiya and a man she said was her husband.
Until this week, none of the 219 girls missing after the Chibok raid had been found. Thousands more women and girls have been kidnapped by Boko Haram over the past seven years in less-publicized circumstances.
When she said she was one of the girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014, they immediately took her and her baby to Chibok.
As many as 57 girls were able to escape nearly immediately, but more than 200 have remained missing since then.
Francisca Vigaud-Walsh, from Refugees International (RI) said such specialized care was not available to most former hostages. He said he had been kidnapped by Boko Haram and taken to their forest stronghold, where he married Amina.
But Nigeria’s military failed to act on the intelligence, Britain’s former ambassador to Nigeria has claimed.
She was found Tuesday and reunited with her family.
Ms Ali, 19, was shielded from journalists when she arrived at the presidential villa, with her mother carrying the baby.
Local vigilante fighters found a malnourished Ms Ali two days earlier as they were scouring the area for Boko Haram militants. “She was very happy to see her but she was also very sad”.
Previous military attempts to storm Sambisa forest have met with mixed success, with soldiers making significant in-roads but failing to finish off the Islamist militants after running into bands of well-armed guerrillas, mines and booby traps.
“Our message to the parents of the remaining school girls is that they should bear in mind that with God nothing is impossible”. The military really jumped into conclusion in assuming that she is one of our girls. She was later snatched from her village of Madagali, near the town of Chibok, he said.
“We celebrate with the families of the rescued girls, and commend the gallantry of the Nigerian Troops and the Civilian Joint Task Force in trying to end the insurgency in the North east of Nigeria”, he said.
“She can tell the true story about these girls”.
The girls’ kidnapping sparked global outrage, including the #BringBackOurGirls campaign on social media.
“Yes, the criticism is that the outgoing government was telling us the girls would be freed. Every girl has the right to an education and a life choice”.
