A US Secret Service official confirms to CNN that the USSS has spoken to the Trump campaign regarding his Second Amendment comments.
Following Trump’s comment at a rally on Tuesday in which he suggested that gun rights activists could stop Clinton from appointing liberal anti-gun justices to the U.S. Supreme Court, a federal official familiar with the matter told Reuters that there had been no formal conversations between the Secret Service and the Trump campaign.
While Trump’s critics seethed at the potential meaning behind his statement, his campaign launched a statement which insisted the remark was about “unification” of “Second Amendment people”, blaming the angry frenzy on a “dishonest media” which was quick to report a false narrative.
After Trump’s comment, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) called for the Secret Service to investigate the GOP candidate over his remarks.
“Every time Donald Trump speaks, it’s The Dress”, Noah said.
“What we’re talking about is political power, there’s tremendous political power to save the Second Amendment, tremendous”, he told Fox News on Wednesday.
One of the most basic qualities of a president is that we know what they mean.
Some took parts of his speech as a veiled call for violence against his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Slip into the Trump Dress above. “And no one can agree, which is entertaining for an Instagram meme but it’s not good for a commander-in-chief”. “I believe Donald Trump was making a joke”, he said.
From there, the Daily Show host launched into a detailed explanation of Trump’s proclivity for stand-up comedy jokes at campaign events.
