Secret to England and Australia’s success as record ODI, T20I totals tumble

Australia batsmen Aaron Finch and Chris Lynn have been ruled out of the two-match Twenty20 series in Sri Lanka with injuries. Chandimal has been in good form and will look to continue it. Sri Lanka will be boosted by the presence of Tillakaratne Dilshan who is all set to retire after this series.

On the other hand, Australia will be seeking an extension of their dominance in ODI series. Maxwell destroyed the Sri Lankan bowling attack with his unbeaten 145 off 65 balls, which was laced with 14 fours and 9 sixes, after the visitors were invited to bat first.

The Aussies certainly recovered brilliantly from the scathing Test series loss, going on to win the ODI rubber with a 4-1 margin.

Australia scored 263/3 in 20 overs as they now hold the highest team score in T20I cricket.

Because Tillakaratne Dilshan is going to retire from the global cricket after this T20 series. The pitch is expected to assist pacers and spinners alike. Chamara Kapugedara, Milinda Siriwardena and Sachithra Senanayake have been called up to the team for tomorrow’s T20 encounter.
