The parade route starts up at 77th Street and Central Park West in New York City.
But like the band she hopes to be a part of next year, Abigail Emmert will perform today before millions in NY and tens of millions more on NBC.
This year there will be dozens of giant floats and balloons, including popular children’s characters such as Hello Kitty, Pikachu, Spongebob Squarepants and Toothless from “How to Train a Dragon”.
Other familiar faces and voices will include Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Mariah Carey, Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson, Daughtry, Andra Day, Andy Grammer, Sandra Lee, Shawn Mendes, MercyMe, 2 Mipso, Jennifer Nettles, Jake Owen, Panic! Knight is hosting for the first time. “He’s adorable”, she said. In Eastern Iowa, it will be broadcast on KWWL from 9 a.m.to noon. “He’s still angry, but I think he’ll get over it”. New Yorkers and visitors can expect temperatures 7 degrees warmer than the previous days. “Nearly everyone in the community and the area, if they weren’t able to go, they will be watching the parade on TV”. It’s the kids. It’s Americana.
Almost 46.9 million Americans will travel over the Thanksgiving long weekend – the busiest U.S.travel holiday of the year – with 3.6 million going by plane, according to the AAA, a motorist advocacy group. Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks. “I feel pretty safe”.
Bomb-sniffing police dogs and radiation detectors will also be used to locate any dirty bombs.
“I feel very secure coming here”, a man said.
While the young ones will likely be thrilled with the performances, the inflatables may be the most eye-catching aspect of this parade. It was cleared as no threat. Ahead of this year’s extravaganza, we look at some fascinating facts about this historic event. “It’s going to be an incredibly safe event”, Bratton said. “I mean, the NYPD’s here”.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Obama said, “Right now, we know of no specific and credible intelligence indicating a plot on the homeland. And for God’s sake don’t let the terrorists dictate the terms to us”, the mayor said. “We’ve done a bunch of fundraisers to get these girls here”. “We’re looking ahead to 2026”.
