Will Brennan & Booth’s Love Affect Abbie & Ichabod Crane In “Bones” & “Sleepy Hollow” Crossover?

As we previously mentioned, in the two-part crossover episodes, a new case brings Brennan (Deschanel), Booth (David Boreanaz), Ichabod (Mison), and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) along for the ride.
Bones and Sleepy Hollow may seem like they exist in vastly different worlds, but there’s a surprising common link between the two, as exposed in TVLine’s exclusive video.
Making the two shows meld, however, was no easy task.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is flummoxed by a odd death, but Abbie and Ichabod search for supernatural reasons to make their case to Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan and Agent Seeley Booth. Then, immediately following on SLEEPY HOLLOW (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the intrigue continues as Ichabod’s old nemesis is back from the dead.
“Bones” executive producer Jonathan Collier, together with “Sleepy Hollow” executive producer Clifton Campbell had an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last week to talk about the coming crossover and what fans can expect from that episode.
Tom Mison did not like the idea of a “Bones” and “Sleepy Hollow” crossover initially. It didn’t feel like either one was too far out of their comfort zone. “At a certain point midway, when we pass off from their episode to our episode, the supernatural really kicks in and it’s like looking at two sides of the same coin”, the producer said. “It’s an adventure that we normally wouldn’t get to see these characters take”, he said. Booth is a veteran in the agency while Abbie is at the beginning of her career. “He doesn’t know exactly what’s going on or why they’re poking around at this thing that doesn’t make sense to him at all, but he understands that that’s the nature of being an investigator”, Campbell shared.
Fans will not want to miss the crossover of the scientific and the mythic teams.
Meanwhile, “Bones” Season 11 Episode 5 airs Thursday, October 29 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
