The #forcefordaniel campaign generated thousands of tweets, many from people connected with the “Star Wars” franchise, including Mark Hamill, Kyle Newman, Peter Mayhew, and John Boyeha, according to Ashley Fleetwood’s Facebook page.

As a professional nerd, this is possibly the most attractive thing I have ever heard in my entire goddamn life. Directed by J.J. Abrams, who co-wrote the script with Lawrence Kasdan, the seventh installment of the Star Wars saga opens in theaters on December 16 in France, in the United Kingdom on December 17, and in the USA on December 18, 2015. Today the wonderful Disney, Bad Robot and Lucasfilm teams made his final dream come true, Daniel just finished watching an unfinished version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!!

J.J. Abrams got wind of their request, and sent Daniel an unedited version of the movie.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens also stars Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow.

So his wife began an online campaign asking Disney Studios to let Fleetwood screen the film early.

Fleetwood’s wife, Ashley, took to Facebook Thursday to share that her husband’s wish had come true.

Texan Daniel Fleetwood, 32, doesn’t have long to live. We will all do what we can to make your wish come true.

In 2013 he allowed NY film buff Daniel Craft access to see Star Trek Into Darkness before it was released.
