Seeking applause line, Jeb Bush struggles with voters
“Oh, I’m continuing on”, he said, according to The Times.

Bush’s coffers also is making the GOP uneasy.
Bush’s campaign sees the state as critical to his path to the nomination.
Trump, who has accused Cruz of “fraud” after Monday’s result in Iowa, previously labelled Bush a “low energy” Republican candidate and used a mocking video to promote his rival as a “sleep-aid”.
If he falters, experts warn, Bush would confirm the narrative painted by critics: that he is a tarnished candidate unable to generate enthusiasm for yet another Bush presidency amid the current appetite for outsiders like Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
Some party leaders are giving Rubio a serious look as their establishment candidate, given his strong Iowa finish, charisma, ability to work across the aisle in Congress and impressive debate performances. “My life experiences, I’m not saying are better or worse, but they’re different and we’re different because of that”.
“I think for Jeb Bush to move on he has to be in the top three in New Hampshire”, he said.
The barbs worked both ways, however. Jeb had $100 million dropped on him not because he was fantastically impressive but because the Bush family has many friends and, more importantly, the donor class needed someone formidable on the center-right who could oufox the Cruzes and Pauls and Walkers of the world. Finishing strong after the Iowa caucuses, where he placed a disappointing sixth with 2.8 percent of the vote, is imperative. “Our next president must be prepared to lead”, George W. Bush said.
After introducing him as “the next president of the United States”, Barbara Bush took a seat on the front row directly behind him. “Anybody that has lived through all these campaigns can remember having a dinner, having a picture, having a handwritten thank you note, going to Kennebunkport”.
While she appeared in a video last month for her son, Thursday night marked the first time she came out on the trail.
“It was a big sacrifice”, Bush said.
But while the audience was quick to heap applause on Barbara, several Republicans in the crowd seemed wary of a fourth Bush term.
“I adore my child”.

“But he’s not a bragger – we don’t allow that – but he’s decent and honest”, she said.
