Sega 3D Classics Collection is coming to North America on April 26 for $30.
The compilation also includes Maze Walker and Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa, a pair of games that trace their origins back to the 8-bit Sega Master System.
Of course, Sega is probably saving something for Sega 3D Classics Collection 2, and we’ve asked the publisher if that is in the works as well. Fantasy Zone fans can additionally look forward to a port of the rarely seen Fantasy Zone II W, an arcade adaptation of Sega’s classic shooter developed decades after its initial Sega Master System release.
Sonic The Hedgehog – The evil scientist, Dr. Eggman (aka Dr. Robotnik), has snatched the animals of South Island, turning them into robot slaves. It’s playable in local co-op.
Galaxy Force II – As the star pilot of the Space Federation, it’s up to you to strap yourself into your TRY-X fighter and turn the tables on the invade forces of Halcyon and the Fourth Empire in this 3D shoot ’em up.
Thunder Blade – A helicopter-based shooting game.
Sonic The Hedgehog – Control the iconic character in the classic fast-paced platformer. The 3DS version will include a doubled resolution with upgraded graphics. The latter included competitive local multiplayer and maintains the original’s Japanese language.
