The shooter’s name has not been released, but Orlando police say he did not know Grimmie and had traveled to the venue from another city in Florida.

Police said he was armed with two handguns, a hunting knife and extra ammunition.
Marcus, who is also a musician, was with his sister when the gunman, Kevin James Loibl, opened fire while she was signing autographs after her concert.
Her brother then tackled Loibl, who ended up killing himself during the struggle.
Police say Grimmie died from her gunshot wounds.
Christina’s brother Marcus Grimmer took to his Facebook account to express his grief and said that she was more than a sister to him, adding she was a “superstar” and a “friend to all”.
“Christina was a talented young artist and we know that her fans and supporters want as much information as possible”, the police statement said. “I love you all”.
It is unclear how the gunman got into the concert venue, where unarmed security guards check bags and purses, officials said.
Grimmie was signing autographs for fans inside the Plaza Live concert hall at the time of the shooting, around 10:30 p.m. (0230 GMT on Saturday).
In 2014, she was a contestant on the USA version of The Voice.

Loibl had made travel arrangements to come to Orlando alone, as well as travel arrangements to go back home, but he didn’t have a vehicle, Mina said. “My heart goes out to Christina Grimmie’s family, friends and all the people that she touched”, Williams wrote.
