Hed: Selena Gomez Is Coming Back to TV in 13 Reasons Why – But There’s a Catch Dek: And it will definitely make you cry.
Variety shared the details of this new Selena Gomez show and exactly what will happen.
Released in 2007 and written by Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why chronicles the aftermath of a high school girl’s suicide by drug overdose. Clay receives a box filled with the cassette tapes, which come with instructions to pass to Hannah’s classmates. These tapes are then passed from one student to another, and they explain the 13 reasons why she killed herself.
The show will be an adaptation of the bestselling young adult novel of the same name and has Kristel Laiblin and Selena’s mother Mandy Teefey attached as fellow executive producers, according to the entertainment site. We read the book and can say it’s a lovely and haunting story that could be incredible adapted for the small screen.
This certainly is her revival! Gomez got her start on “Barney & Friends” and rose to fame on Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place”, on which she starred for its four-season run.
No premiere date for the project has been announced.
