Selena Gomez Will Be a Mentor on “The Voice” Season Nine
Selena Gomez is reportedly the “backstage favourite” for a The Voice US mentor role. And Season 9 is carrying on that noble tradition, recruiting legendary femcee Missy Elliott, Creedence Clearwater Revival icon John Fogerty, country king Brad Paisley, and pop It Girl Selena Gomez.

“She was surprisingly unbelievable as a mentor even though she’s so young”, said a source, adding, “She exceeded everyone’s expectations”.
Apparently the Maroon 5 crooner has “always wanted to work with Fogerty” because he thinks the 70-year-old musician is a “legend”.
They will join The Voice during the show’s battle rounds, which will come right after the round of blind auditions.
Reports are Shelton and Paisley’s relationship extends far beyond just the stage.
The source also revealed Brad Paisley was chosen because he has a good relationship with Blake Shelton, and has been something of a rock to him as he has gone through his marriage break up with wife Miranda Gilbert.
Missy Elliott will be joining team Pharrell fresh from her first major appearance in years alongside Katy Perry at the Superbowl back in February.
The group are joining a number of high-profile previous mentors that include Lionel Richie, Meghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding, Alicia Keys, Gavin Rossdale and Stevie Nicks.
