Alberta’s Rachel Notley has seen her rating dip by double digits as the economy tanks in that province.

A new poll by Angus Reid shows Alberta’s top politician has fallen 12 points since December. Notley’s falling approval rating, from 53 per cent in June 2015 to 33 per cent this month, coincides with the province’s worsening recession.

Wall has the approval of 62 per cent of the people of Saskatchewan, a rating that is statistically unchanged since last quarter.

Wall is consistently popular in his province – since November 2010 he’s never been below 59 per cent, according to ARI – and this latest result could fuel speculation about his apparent advantage in the looming federal Conservative Party leadership race.

With an approval rating of 31 per cent, a new poll by Angus Reid ranks Premier Christy Clark as Canada’s third least popular premier.

However, Alberta’s unemployment rate has grown three times as much our neighbours to the east.
