Sen. Elizabeth Warren says, ‘I’m with Hillary’

As for Republicans lawmakers – namely the ones who have obstructed Democrats’ efforts in Congress – Warren said that “the American people are coming for you”. She railed against Trump as someone who rooted for the housing crash.

And on Monday night, she was rewarded with one of the most prestigious speaking slots – appearing after First Lady and before Bernie Sanders. “The choice is not even close”.

“Trump’s entire campaign is just one more late night Trump infomercial”, said Elizabeth Warren tonight at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. “A man who cares only for himself, every minute of every day”, Warren said of Trump. “No plans to make anything greater for anyone except rich guys like Donald Trump”.

For all the unexpected drama in the 48 hours leading up to the DNC, Whiteside still predicts a relatively uneventful convention, marked by Sanders delegates coalescing around Clinton.

Sanders did much the same thing, running through a litany of issues.

During this campaign, Clinton has supported the CFPB’s plan to restrict mandatory arbitration clauses in financial contracts for products like bank accounts and credit cards. The problem was that she followed Michelle Obama’s stunning speech, and paled a bit-OK, a lot-in comparison. Warren proved once again that she’s very, very good at it.

Clinton later said she came to regret her Senate vote.

The Democratic convention did not get off to a smooth start on Monday.

Whiteside said she expects her candidate to not waiver in his support of Clinton or contest her presumptive nomination. Warren, on the other hand, went on the attack, calling out Trump directly. “Crazy Bernie’s going insane right now”, he said. Straight against gay. Everyone against immigrants.

“I am proud to be part of Bernie’s movement”, Silverman said as the crowd roared.

“Based on her ideas and her leadership, Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States”, Sanders said to the audience.

Trump was a frequent target throughout the night, though the jabs were often more mocking than mean.

The outgoing chairwoman did watch the gathering from a private suite at the arena.

Amid an email scandal, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the party’s chairwoman, announced her resignation Sunday.

Discussions between the two camps prompted Sanders to send emails and text messages to supporters asking them not to protest. Elizabeth Warren. Both are expected to speak on Clinton’s behalf during the convention. Clinton promised a stark contrast to the GOP gathering, saying she planned to highlight “success stories” and flesh out details of her proposed policies.

Clinton campaign officials blamed the hack, which is now being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, on Russian military intelligence agencies. Trump wants to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
