Sen. Ted Cruz making campaign stop in Nashville
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, turned 45 years old on Tuesday and the GOP presidential candidate is using the special occasion to fundraise. “The support he’s built in the South is propelling him and his message to the Republican nomination in March and to the White House in November”.

“Let me suggest a simple rule that everyone ought to follow, kids should be off limits”, Cruz said. Cruz also said he has consistently opposed virtually every policy initiative proposed by the Obama administration, including the Affordable Care Act, the nuclear treaty with Iran, Planned Parenthood funding and other initiatives.
The campaign stop is part of Cruz’s plan to hold 12 rallies in 12 cities in one week.
Cruz got a rousing standing ovation from the crowd.
“The role of the great state of Tennessee is to be able to ensure the Republican nominee and the next president of the U.S.is a real, and proven conservative”, Cruz said.
Cruz thanked his father for the introduction.
“This an exciting day for Knoxville, this is an exciting day for East Tennessee”, Zachary said.
“If I am elected president, we will utterly destroy ISIS”.
