Senator Warner’s statement on selection of Tim Kaine
“Any objective observer will conclude that – based on her ideas and her leadership – Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States”, he declared in a headlining address on the opening night of the Democratic convention.

How the emails were stolen hasn’t been confirmed, but the Clinton campaign pointed the finger at Russian hackers.
Mr. Trump appeared to relish the Democratic chaos on Sunday, writing on Twitter- “The Dems Convention is cracking up”.
Although he has received mixed feedback, Kaine has been regarded by Clinton’s campaign as a reliable senior member of the democratic office, ever since his election in 2012.
Last month, Mr. Kaine said abortion is one of many “moral decisions for individuals to make for themselves, and the last thing we need is government intruding into those personal decisions”.
Does this mean that Sanders supporters should consider voting for Trump or sitting out the election?
Beyond that, Kaine aligns with Clinton and the Democrats on most issues. As he demanded Ms. Wasserman Schultz’s resignation, Mr. Sanders made clear he wants to see Ms. Clinton win the White House.
The Clinton team worked to portray their party’s convention in a different light from the just concluded Republican gathering in Cleveland, where Donald Trump accepted the GOP nomination but party divisions flared when his chief rival, Texas Sen.
In return, Ms. Clinton seized upon what she called the “fear and the anger and the resentment” from Mr. Trump and Republicans, dismissing Mr. Trump’s declaration that only he could fix the problems that afflict the nation.
Clinton was due to campaign in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday. “Yeah, they are. He’s more conservative than I am”.
Mrs Obama was one of the night’s stand-outs. The correspondence, posted by WikiLeaks over the weekend, showed top officials at the supposedly neutral DNC favoring Clinton over Sanders in the presidential primaries.
I do think we’re going to take a Senate majority for the Democrats. I do. “And I’ll move to Canada”.
“Throughout his career, he has brought people together to deliver for those he represents. I think that’s going to have to come from the other side”.

From the podium, however, some of Sanders’ allies noted their progress in influencing the party’s platform and moving to reduce the influence of superdelegates, the party leaders and elected officials who helped decide the nomination.
