Senators Rubio, McCain win their Republican primaries
Both sides have already had nationally-known party members weigh in on their behalf, with Patrick Murphy receiving endorsements from President Barack Obama and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Rubio receiving the backing of Republican nominee Donald Trump after the incumbent dropped out of the race for president and endorsed the mogul. He faces a tough Democratic challenge in November’s general election from U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick.

Marco Rubio coasted to an easy victory in Florida’s GOP Senate primary but refused to commit to a full six-year term if he wins.
Rubio made a last-minute decision to seek another term and almost cleared what was a crowded Republican field.
Janice Johnson, of Estero, said she’s been a Rubio supporter for years and happily cast her vote for him Tuesday.
“Marco’s opponent is a pisher from Fischer Island, who was the subject of a devastating investigative report from a local CBS affiliate revealing he lied about his college degree, a CPA license, and his business experience”, Martin Sweet, Rubio’s director of Jewish outreach in the 2016 presidential primary, told Jewish Insider.
“I’m very excited to debate Sen”.
Still, several Collier and Lee Republicans were motivated to vote against Rubio. “They’ve had a chance to see what he does”. Therefore, I am asking you to join me in committing to six media-sponsored live debates between now and Election Day.
“Rubio was a game changer when he got back into the race”, veteran Republican strategist Mac Stipanovich said.
Even as the first votes were being cast or mailed earlier this month, the eventual winners and their allies had begun to pivot toward November.
Rubio had promised not to seek reelection, but after his failed presidential run, he reconsidered.
Senator Rubio took the stage at his Primary Election night party in Kissimmee to celebrate with his supporters. Two other minor candidates drew the rest. That’s a potent issue in a state that’s ground zero for the disease, which can cause severe brain defects in babies.
“How can someone with that kind of record think he can be elected to the U.S. Senate?” McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, has spent three decades in the Senate.
“Patrick Murphy is an enthusiastic supporter of the nuclear deal with Iran, ” Rubio told his cheering supporters at the Embassy Suites in Kissimmee, Florida after calling his opponent “nothing more than an old-fashioned liberal” who supports ideas that are unsafe for the country. Only Miami businessman Carlos Beruff remained as a serious challenger after Rubio made a decision to run, and he never threatened the first-term senator.
The non-traditional campaigns of Trump and Sanders, who exceeded expectations in his failed Democratic White House bid, spurred speculation that other insurgent politicians could make an impact this year.
Rubio has endorsed Trump for president but has been unenthusiastic about whooping him up, saying he has areas of disagreement with him. But he still emphasizes their many policy differences.

“As Florida goes, so goes the nation”, she said. Will embracing Trump help or hurt Rubio with Florida voters?
