One of the features of the Apple Watch is its ability to make mobile payments, thanks to Apple Pay.
The data also found that owning an Apple Watch dramatically increased the chances of using Apple Pay … Essentially it was an expansion of the product to now let customers pay businesses easily without having to take out a credit card or other tangible forms of payments. Apple Pay launched with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus; the iPhone maker finally included an NFC chip in its phones to give way to the payment system. Users just select payment recipients and then tap stacks of cash in various increments to send digital dough from the wrist. The watch will vibrate, and a check mark appears on the screen to confirm the payment. However, it still brings up the notion that you have to pull something out of your pocket. But as long as you keep it on, a simple double-tap does the work.
If given the choice, 79% of respondents would much rather use Apple Pay on the Apple Watch. Further dissecting the non-users, Wristly’s findings also detail that “only about 5% of Apple Watch users are unlikely to use Apple Pay”.

Drilling down further, 62 percent of those polled who use Apple Pay said they prefer to buy from retailers due at least in part to the business’s decision to support Apple Pay.
