Send cash by text with Google Wallet
According to an announcement made by Google on its Commerce blog, the Google Wallet app for Android is being updated to enable users to send money to anyone on their contact list with a valid mobile phone number. The app has had a number of other updates in recent weeks, including improved contact suggestions (letting you see the people you send money to most often first), a security feature that locks the app with one tap, and the ability to add a second bank account. Once you have funds in your wallet, all you have to do is send a text with a secure link which the recipient can open and the funds will be transferred to their account nearly instantly.

“We’re thrilled with the great feedback we’ve received on the new Google Wallet app, and we’re working hard to make the experience even better”, Google said. All that will be required to complete this process is a phone number.
Google today updated its Google Wallet app for Android and iOS with support for sending money to phone numbers.
The feature is available in the the latest version of the Google Wallet app for Google’s Android platform and Apple’s iOS platform. So let’s assume that Peter is going to pay Paul using Google Wallet.

In order to claim the money, the recipient needs to simply provide their debit card details and it will be transferred to their bank account.
