Senior Corbyn adviser Andrew Fisher suspended by Labour
Fisher suggested that the Class War candidate should be backed as leader of the party instead of Corbyn, and has also called Tony Blair a “scumbag” and Jack Straw a “vile git”.

A spokesman said: “Andrew Fisher has been suspended from the Labour Party”.
Mr Fisher wrote to Iain McNicol, general secretary of Labour’s ruling National Executive Committee, to “completely and unreservedly” apologise for the Class War tweet, which he claimed had been “misinterpreted”.
He wrote: “I obviously do not and did not support Class War in any way, let alone in an election”. ‘I was and am committed to the election of a Labour government and a successful and united Labour Party’.
Mr Fisher, who has deleted his Twitter account, also reportedly posted messages attacking former leader Ed Miliband’s front bench and celebrating ex-shadow chancellor Ed Balls losing his seat at the general election.
A senior Labour MP and former shadow cabinet member said Mr Fisher has infuriated members because of his comments and his lack of commitment to the party.
I have full confidence in Andrew Fisher and his work.
In September 2014, he described the Labour party’s frontbench as “the most abject collection of complete s****”.
But Fisher’s political career was furthered when he was hired by Corbyn following the veteran left-winger’s win in Labour’s leadership election.
Mr Fisher said it was “fitting that the architect of Labour’s miserable austerity-lite economic policies should lose #Balls”.
Chuka Umunna said: ‘We need to kick the Tories out, we need to assemble an army of activists.
Mr Corbyn spoke of his “full confidence” in Mr Fisher despite widespread anger among his own MPs about the conduct of his top aide – putting him in direct opposition to his own party. “On behalf of those hard working members who were offended by Mr Fisher’s activities which included supporting a candidate against Labour in May, it is only right that the General Secretary has initiated an enquiry”.
The Prime MInister told MPs: ‘His media adviser is a Stalinist, his new policy adviser is a Trotskyist and his economic adviser is a communist.

He added: “Mr Fisher is speaking at the Assembly as an author of a book about the economy”.
