Senior Republicans say RNC must stick with Trump
A string of prominent Republicans have announced they will not vote for Trump as U.S. newspapers report of a campaign in crisis and staffers unnerved by a candidate apparently incapable of reeling in crass remarks.

Donald Trump announced a shake-up of his campaign leadership Wednesday, the latest sign of tumult for his struggling White House bid less than three months from his Election Day faceoff with Hillary Clinton.
Paul Manafort, the campaign chairman, will retain his title.
These changes reflect the second time that Trump’s campaign staff has had to accommodate to the business mogul’s desire of doing things how he sees fit. A Trump campaign statement announcing the changes touted a Bloomberg Politics article that branded Bannon “the most risky political operative in America”.
After Democrats have reserved $20 million on the airwaves in the state, Republicans are heartened that Trump will now begin an ad campaign in North Carolina as part of his first round of general election ad buys, hoping to reverse the slide in a state many Republicans fear is slipping away.
“Steve is a huge piece of manpower and we know he will perform brilliantly in his new role as CEO of the Trump presidential campaign”, Solov said.
Critics warned that Bannon, a former Goldman Sachs banker, was unlikely to make the populist candidate, who has upended the Republican establishment, any more palatable to moderate voters or any less controversial. “They should stick with Trump”. “They are extremely capable, highly qualified people who love to win and know how to win”.
“Buckle up”, wrote a Trump strategist in a text message Wednesday to The Washington Post.
In breaking with that approach, Trump appears set on finishing the race on his own terms – win or lose.
A Republican House and Senate will best empower Trump to pass necessary reforms for our country.
Bannon’s name soon came up.
Mrs Clinton told a rally in Ohio: “There is no new Donald Trump”.
Both Trump and Manafort discussed the friction in their relationship with friends in recent days, and a close associate described Trump as frustrated at the state of the race, leveling complaints that he has been the victim of bad advice from his political team. He connected with his son-in-law and trusted adviser Jared Kushner, who has been on vacation in Europe.
The Journal reported that Bannon met with Trump later on Sunday at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., to “lay out his new thinking for the campaign team” – with Manafort joining that meeting.
“After several failed attempts to pivot into a more serious and presidential mode, Donald Trump has chose to double down on his most small, nasty, and divisive instincts by turning his campaign over to someone who’s best known for running a so-called news site that peddles divisive, at times racist, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic conspiracy theories”, Mook said.
Kevin Kellems, a longtime Republican strategist, called Conway “the complete package”.
Trump (center) gathered several advisers for a roundtable discussion on national security in his offices in Trump Tower in NY on Wednesday.
In June, Trump dumped his then-campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who had been credited with the real estate magnate’s initial breakthrough in the primaries.
Moving forward, Trump is hopeful that Manafort will remain involved and a leader within the campaign with a possible emphasis on building Trump’s Washington operation, one of the Republicans said.

Trump decided on the changes this weekend after speaking with campaign donors at a fundraiser in The Hamptons, including Rebekah Mercer, a high-profile GOP donor with longstanding ties to Conway, who shared her concerns with Trump about the direction of the campaign, a source told CNN. “It’s me. I don’t want to change”. Ergo. If you really want to watch Seinfeld, don’t do it on TV. ‘I mean, look what’s happened over the last 10 years.it’s been catastrophic’.
