The court had ordered the 12 waitresses to appear in person, but the NIS said they were unwilling to testify because of personal safety concerns and would be represented by legal counsel.
North Korea is ready to strike USA army bases any moment in response to the entry of a United States nuclear submarine in the South Korean port of Busan.
“South Korea is really trying to hit the North where it hurts and they’re nearly certainly telling these countries that South Korea has more money, more trade to offer and is not an global pariah, and in that way they are ticking Pyongyang’s allies off one by one”, he said. The hearing was halted and the court said the request would be reviewed.

The conservative Chosun Ilbo criticized the “pro-North Korea” lawyers on Tuesday for endangering the family members of the defectors still in the North.
Almost 30,000 North Koreans have fled poverty and repression at home to settle in the capitalist South.
In its statement Sunday, the NIS warned that “terror against South Korean citizens and foreigners in this country is becoming a reality”.

However, they do not mingle with the other defectors and are taken care of separately in the facility.
The defection has received above average public attention, as the MoU has revealed the news in early April, just before the general election, raising suspicion. “I think defectors want to be seen, rather than as people from the North, as regular people, as friends, who live side by side with South Koreans”.
“Many defectors focus first on making money once they get here, and so they often go to factories to work”, Eom said.
