September Update Release Date Confirmed, ClashCon 2016 Cancelled Indefinitely?
The maximum player attrition from “Clash of Clans” happened in July and coincidentally it was in July that Niantic introduced “Pokemon GO”, the super-addictive augmented reality mobile game, reports GameNGuide.

The developer has received many complaints from gamers who said that the Tournaments in Clash Royale are quite hard to find and even more hard to enter. With a massive update set to be released this month that would include a number of important changes to the game, Clash of Clans developer Supercell seems to be showing fans of the title that it is doing everything it can to make sure the mobile game gets better and more compelling with time.
There are rumors that the September update will have some penalty features along with the Gem Mine that will allow the player to mine for free gems, but Supercell has yet to verify these rumors.
An update was released in August, but it only affected Town Hall level 11 and up and was met with complaints from players still on the lower levels.
With Supercell taking the updates of the game very seriously, the developer has announced some pretty sad news. Explaining the reason behind the move, the “Clash of Clans” developer said that instead of holding the ClashCon 2016 event this year they have chose to more focus on improving the games, making new additions as well as on other things that will benefit the entire Clash Community. Instead, “We decided that this year the best way to thank our players is to stay focused on the things that benefit the entire Clash Community: improvements and additions to the games, and experiences that players everywhere can enjoy”. According to the developer, the cancellation of the global event was decided after the company made a decision to focus all its resources on improving the game.
Supercell intends to change the game a lot for both newcomers and veterans. Apart from “Pokemon GO”, the dip in “Clash of Clans'” user base could also be because of general disinterest in the game. The release date for such update however, has not yet been confirmed but it is likely that it will come this month.
While it is already definite that “ClashCon” will not push through for this year, loyal fans of the game should watch out for more events.
