Her owner is blind, and when Yolanda detected the fire in their Philadelphia home, she alerted authorities.

This was the second time Yolanda saved her owner’s life.

It’s not the first time Yolanda has used her superpowers to let emergency responders know her owner was in danger. Her owner fell and was knocked unconscious last year and the dog called 911 in that situation.

On Thursday afternoon, the Red Paw Emergency Relief Team notified their Facebook followers about the special dog’s heroic deed, “Yolanda and her owner were displaced by a fire in ‪#‎Philly‬ this morning. Yolanda is a superhero!!”

Firefighters responded, and the homeowner was taken to the hospital where she was treated for smoke inhalation.

Both owner and dog are okay, but are staying in a Red Cross Shelter, so in steps Red Paw Emergency Relief Team – which helps animals the same way the Red Cross helps people.
