How many pledged delegates does Trump now have?
On Wednesday, Walker made clear that he is still very much a big backer of Texas Sen.
A Republican candidate needs 1,237 delegates to clinch the nomination.
“Lyin’ Ted. Lies, oh, he lies”.
Speaking at a town-hall event on NBC’s “Today” show Thursday, Trump said North Carolina’s bathroom law has caused unnecessary strife and transgender people should be able to choose which bathroom to use.
Across Florida over the past few weeks, Republican Party members have gathered at libraries, office buildings and restaurants to choose the 99 delegates representing the GOP at the national convention in July.
Kasich and Cruz both need to win more delegates than are available in the remaining primary contests to secure the Republican nomination on the first ballot.
Trump has been “projecting an image” to energize voters, Manafort said, adding that he will soon concentrate on “crooked Hillary”, the nickname that Trump has given to Democratic favorite Hillary Clinton.
For Cruz’s campaign, IN presents a landscape not unlike Wisconsin, where Cruz dominated Trump by 13 points. A spokesperson for the governor would give no further details about the meeting or why Trump sought Christie’s counsel. Trump won among men and women, college grads and blue collar workers, but it was Kasich who led Trump in Manhattan most of the night, CBS2’s Janelle Burrell reported. “That’s what my appeal is”, Kasich said. The winner-take-all (or winner-take-most) nature of the Republican delegate apportionment process means that a Trump win is still a real possibility, if not likely.
The New York billionaire needed a big victory in his home state to recapture the momentum in the Republican race and push him closer to the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.
Cruz challenged Trump to debate him in Pennsylvania where voters go to the polls next Tuesday.
Whether it’s right or wrong, Baker says that’s for the voters to decide. “It’s an unpaid job, you do a lot of work, and this is the way you get rewarded for your efforts”.
Clinton said her victory in NY – where she has lived for 15 years and served in the U.S. Senate – is “personal”.
Sanders brushed off the defeat, convinced that he stands a better chance of winning it all in November.
As to whether she would ask Sanders to exit the race, she said that was his choice. If Trump wins that, he can get the number. The share Sanders requires is now higher than ever, while Clinton’s is lower than ever.
NY boosted Trump’s delegate tally to 845, while Cruz has 559 and Kasich 147, according to the AP.

Sanders took 104 delegates for the Democrats. Bernie Sanders argued earlier this month that Clinton is not qualified, though he later backed off those remarks.
