Seth Meyers Is Delivering His ‘Late Night’ Monologue Weekend Update-Style Now
In an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Tuesday night, Cooper and the host laughed about their experiences with celebrity hotelier and GOP presidential candidate Trump and how fascinating they find the success of his campaign.

The TV world was briefly rocked this week when after the opening credits of “Late Night” rolled across the screen, host Seth Meyers was shown already seated at his desk instead of standing for the monologue. “Last night, same thing”. “He garbles his words”.
If all else fails, Anderson Cooper could have a bright future as a Donald Trump impersonator.
“It seemed like it was time to give it a shot”, he said. “It’s not really breaking new ground for me personally”, he said while acknowledging the format’s ancient stand-up tradition, “so that made the transition easier”. “Donald Trump has the money to back up whatever he wants to do, and he’s tapped into something very powerful”. “He says what’s on his mind, whether you agree with him or not, and he attacks you in the process, which is always entertaining”.
Seth Meyers eschewed the traditional latenight monologue recently in favor of something a little more like what he used to do on Saturday Night Live.

“I like interviewing him”, Cooper told Meyers. “He’s holding the phone to his ear, and he’s just whizzing like insane on all the garbage people walking on the streets below”.
