Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg Close a Chapter With ‘Sausage Party’ Premiere

Horrified by this newfound knowledge, a sausage named Frank (Rogen) looks to save himself and his friends, voiced by the likes of Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, and many other great talents, from meeting such a awful end.

“Sausage Party” hits cinemas worldwide from Thursday.

There’s also a hugely impressive voice cast including James Franco, Kristen Wiig, Johan Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, Danny McBride, Paul Rudd, Edward Norton and Salma Hayek.

On Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show Monday, Rogen discussed what he and his colleagues had to do to escape the MPAA’s stamp of death. But when Robin Quivers asked if they were surprised with what the MPAA ultimately allowed for an R rating, Rogen had to laugh.

“We submitted it and we first got an NC-17 rating back”. When a group is taken home by one customer, though, they soon learn the horrid truth about what happens to groceries outside of the store: they get eaten by monster, er, humans. They wanted the scrotum to be hairless.

“I don’t know how the movie’s going to do, I don’t know if it’s going to be received well”, Rogen said at the film’s premiere on Tuesday.

The part that had to be cut, Rogen said, involved – ahem – Lavash the pita bread’s pubic hair. “So we digitally shaved the pitta bread’s ballsack and removed the hair from it”.
